Love to compete? Join the FCF IEA Team and compete against riders from multiple states in a collegiate level points system.
What is IEA?
Ever thought you might like to ride on a collegiate team? If so, inquire about our IEA opportunities! IEA, or Interscholastic Equestrian Association, is a great program for those riders 4th grade through 12th grade hoping to make it onto a collegiate team. At FCF, we have a competitive team that travels to shows from August through April. Being on the team requires a commitment from both riders and their parents, as it requires some travel to shows and attending practice at FCF about once a month.
The shows are run in a collegiate format, with riders drawing horses at random for competition. The division at which one competes is dependent on riding experience outside of IEA and will be determined by our coaches.
All riders are welcome; you do not have to take lessons at FCF to be on our team, but you do have to take lessons regularly with an approved instructor. IEA has a place for every rider, even if you are not jumping yet. IEA is a great way to gain experience riding different types of horses under pressure. Talk to Lindsay or Melissa for more information
